Initially we were asked to recreate an organic, natural stone vibe to this Southern Italian style pasta restaurant. But taking inspiration from the Mediterranean Sea and Puglian cuisine, we began to experiment with a new technique to create something altogether more authentic.
We developed a way to simulate the patina of marble but with much more drama. We call it ‘cosmic’, as the blue and white veins are literally out of this world, but it can be recreated in any colour.
The seventeen tabletops, two bar counters and pizza counter have a warm finish that invites being touched and matches the atmosphere perfectly. Bellissimo!
