Right in the heart of Sheffield’s famous steel making quarter, this independent venue really wanted to reflect its industrial heritage. Because customers interact with the bar and café, we wanted to showcase the tactile qualities of concrete. So, we created chunky looking counters and furniture, but added exquisite, debossed details. The whole place simply invites customers to connect with their surroundings.
We included some hidden features throughout the build: hidden drain holes in the loos, bespoke sloping sinks and debossed beer taps. It was an exciting challenge, but the results were incredibly rewarding.
